Entrepreneurship isn’t just about starting a business, it’s about cultivating confidence, creativity, and the ability to turn ideas into action. That’s exactly what students gain through NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) BizCamp, an engaging six-week program designed to inspire and empower young innovators.

In partnership with DCFCU (Dade County Federal Credit Union), BizCamp offers a unique opportunity for participants to learn in a real-world setting, hosted on site at DCFCU's Sweetwater location. With one of the program locations hosted on-site, students are immersed in an environment that fosters collaboration, professional growth, and hands-on learning, bringing the entrepreneurial experience to life.

From Idea to Innovation: Real-World Entrepreneurship Training

Throughout the six-week BizCamp, students are guided through a hands-on entrepreneurial journey that transforms their ideas into actionable business concepts. Each participant develops their own business idea, taking it from an initial concept to a fully realized business plan. Along the way, they gain practical experience in key areas such as:

  1. Idea Generation: Identifying problems and creating innovative solutions
  2. Market Research: Understanding their target audience and competition
  3. Budgeting: Learning how to manage finances and build sustainable plans
  4. Branding: Crafting a compelling identity for their business
  5. Pitching: Presenting their ideas with confidence and clarity

Through interactive workshops and guided activities, students gain the tools they need to bring their vision to life.

Learning Beyond the Classroom: Financial Education & Mentorship

What sets NFTE BizCamp apart is its emphasis on real-world exposure and mentorship. Students connect with business professionals who provide guidance, share insights, and help refine their ideas.
