Dade County Federal Credit Union Launches Business Clothing Donation Drive to Support Local Youth
To kick off the new year, Dade County Federal Credit Union is proud to launch a Business Clothing Donation Drive in support of HANDY (Helping Advance and Nurture the Development of Youth). This initiative is designed to uplift the youth in our community who are preparing to enter or re-enter the workforce by providing access to professional attire that can help them feel confident and career ready.
Why Your Donation Matters
For many young adults, especially those transitioning out of foster care or facing financial hardship, something as simple as having the right outfit for an interview can make a meaningful difference. Professional clothing can help open doors to employment, internships, and long-term career opportunities.
We encourage members, employees, and community partners to donate new or gently used professional clothing, including:
- Suits and blazers
- Dress shirts and blouses
- Slacks, skirts, and dresses
- Professional footwear
- Ties, belts, and other workplace accessories
Donations may be dropped off at participating Dade County Federal Credit Union branches until Saturday, February 28th, 2026.
About HANDY
All collected items will be donated directly to HANDY, a respected Broward-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth in foster care and those experiencing significant economic challenges. HANDY provides essential resources, including education support, life skills training, and workforce development—to help young people build independence and pursue a brighter future.
By coming together, we can help equip young people with the tools, confidence, and opportunities they need to thrive.
Join us in making a lasting impact, one outfit at a time.
