Dade County Federal Credit Union was honored to serve as a proud sponsor of the Miami Community Newspapers networking event hosted at the iconic Casa Cuba in South Miami on February 26, 2026. The morning brought together local leaders, partners, and community advocates for meaningful conversations over pastelitos, cafecito, and shared purpose.
We were especially proud to welcome two distinguished guests: Juan Fernandez-Barquin, Esq., Clerk of the Court and Comptroller of Miami-Dade County, and Carlos J. Martinez, Public Defender for the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida.
Their presence added depth and insight to a morning already rich with dialogue about community needs, collaboration, and the future of Miami-Dade.
As always at Casa Cuba, the atmosphere was warm and familiar, a blend of new faces, long-time partners, and the unmistakable aroma of Cuban coffee that brings people together. It was a reminder of why these gatherings matter: they strengthen relationships, spark ideas, and reinforce our shared commitment to serving the people of Miami-Dade County.
At Dade County Federal, we believe in showing up for our community, not just as a financial institution, but as a partner invested in connection, progress, and local leadership. We’re grateful to Miami Community Newspapers for hosting another impactful event and look forward to many more mornings filled with collaboration and community spirit.
