On Saturday, October 17, DCFCU was proud to sponsor the Recovery Booth at the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Broward walk, an event dedicated to raising awareness, honoring survivors, supporting those battling breast cancer, and bringing the community together for an important cause.

With more than 25,000 participants coming together and $980,000 raised to support the fight against breast cancer, the event demonstrated the power of a community united behind a meaningful mission.

Representing DCFCU at the event were Thomas and Chelsea from Business Development and Oraida and Jackie from Marketing, who spent the day connecting with participants, survivors, caregivers, and supporters. Their presence reflected DCFCU’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities we serve and the causes that matter most to them.

Through our sponsorship of the Recovery Booth, DCFCU was honored to contribute to an event that celebrates survivors, encourages those facing breast cancer, and provides support for individuals and families impacted by the disease. Throughout the day, our team witnessed firsthand the strength, resilience, and hope that defined the event and inspired everyone in attendance.

Reflecting on the importance of supporting initiatives like Making Strides of Broward, DCFCU’s Marketing Director Paola Fajardo shared: “We are incredibly proud to support those courageously fighting breast cancer and to celebrate the strength and resilience of survivors. At DCFCU, we are humbled by every opportunity to give back, stand with our community, and support causes that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”

At DCFCU, we believe that supporting our community means showing up, getting involved, and standing alongside organizations that make a difference. Events like Making Strides of Broward remind us of the incredible impact that can be achieved when people come together in support of a common cause.

We extend our gratitude to the organizers, volunteers, participants, survivors, caregivers, and supporters who helped make this event such a success. DCFCU is proud to support initiatives that strengthen our community, raise awareness, and inspire hope for a brighter future.
