On October 24, DCFCU proudly sponsored and participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Miami Walk at Loan Depot Park, joining thousands of individuals dedicated to raising awareness and funding breast cancer research.
The event brought together more than 10,000 participants and raised over $800,000 to support research, patient services, and ongoing efforts in the fight against breast cancer. The atmosphere was filled with inspiration as survivors, fighters, families, caregivers, and advocates gathered to honor their journeys and make an impact.
For DCFCU, the morning was about much more than sponsorship. It was an opportunity to stand alongside those affected by breast cancer, listen to personal stories of strength and perseverance, and recognize the unwavering determination of individuals facing the disease. These meaningful conversations served as a powerful reminder of why events like Making Strides matter.
The DCFCU team was also honored to connect with local leaders, including City of Miami Mayor Eileen Higgins and Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz, who attended the walk and helped highlight the importance of bringing people together for a shared cause.
