What an inspiring afternoon of compassion and creativity we shared at Dade County Federal Credit Union (DCFCU) on Friday, February 13th! Our Letters of Love event invited DCFCU employees from across departments to come together and craft heartfelt, handmade cards for terminally ill children in the hospital. In a world that can feel heavy, these simple notes of encouragement, love, and hope have the power to brighten even the toughest days for young patients facing serious illnesses.
Every card carried messages of strength, bravery, hugs, rainbows, and love designed to bring a smile, a moment of distraction, or a feeling of being cared for to children who need it most. We saw teamwork in action, laughter as ideas were shared, and quiet focus as messages were written. The impact goes far beyond paper and ink: these cards remind the recipients they're not alone, that their community is thinking of them, and that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. A huge thank you to all DCFCU employees who participated, your time, creativity, and big hearts made this event truly special!
Our Top 5 Favorite Cards
All the cards were touching and meaningful, but these five stood out of the pack.
Thanks to the incredible kindness and creativity of our DCFCU family, on February 20th, we delivered over 50 handmade cards for the children at Nicklaus Children's Hospital.
