At Dade County Federal Credit Union (DCFCU), we believe in investing in our community's future leaders. Education opens doors, creates opportunities, and builds stronger communities. That's why we're offering two distinct scholarship programs for students pursuing higher education.
Scholarship Opportunities
Scholars Who Serve Award
The Scholars Who Serve Award Scholarship recognizes high school students who demonstrate a commitment to community service while pursuing their educational goals. This scholarship celebrates those who make a difference while advancing their own futures.
Key Details:
- Award Amount: $1,500
- Application Period: January 1 - May 31, 2026
Requirements:
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher.
- Proof of enrollment to a post secondary institution.
- Complete at least 25 hours of community service in the past year.
- Submit most recent transcript and a recent photo upon request.
Individuals and their families who live, work, worship, attend school, or operate a business in Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, or Monroe County are eligible to join our Credit Union. The Scholars Who Serve Award Scholarship is open to eligible high school seniors who are current members of Dade County Federal Credit Union for at least 30 days. Scholarship award is $1,500, deposited directly to the student’s DCFCU account. Only one application per person will be accepted. Applications must be submitted between January 1 – May 31, 2026. Winners are selected based on academic achievement, community service, and financial need. Programs, rates, and terms may change or be discontinued at any time without notice. Federally Insured by NCUA.
Financial Future Scholarship
The Financial Future Scholarship is an exciting opportunity exclusively for currently enrolled Broward College students who are working toward building a brighter tomorrow through education. This $1,500 award provides valuable financial support to help cover essential educational expenses, such as tuition, books, supplies, or other college-related costs.
Key Details:
- Award Amount: $1,500
- International students are eligible for the scholarship.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled Broward College student.
- Be enrolled in a minimum of six credits.
- Have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA.
The Financial Future Scholarship is open to eligible Broward College students who are enrolled in a minimum of six credits in any major. Scholarship award is $1,500. Only one application per person will be accepted. Recipients must submit a thank-you letter to (DCFCU) before funds are released. International students are eligible for the scholarship.
