What do I need to open a Teen Account (Ages 14-17)?
  • Must live, work, worship, or attend school in Palm Beach, Broward, Miami‑Dade, or Monroe County
  • Provide one form of ID (State ID, Driver’s License, or U.S. Passport)
  • Provide school documentation (Schedule of Courses or Report Card) to confirm address
What do I need to open a Minor Account (Under 14)?
  • Child’s Birth Certificate and Social Security Card
  • Parent or legal guardian must be added to the account
How is the Gen-You Account safe for teenagers?

We have restrictions on the account that will help to avoid fees, experiencing overdrafts and check fraud.

Who qualifies for the BabySteps program?

BabySteps is a special perk for children under 2 years and 11 months. When you open a Youth Account for your little one with $5 plus the $1 membership fee, you’ll receive a FREE Miami-Dade County Stroller Parking Permit. Additional permits will cost $35.

To qualify for a Gen-You Account, Individuals and their families who live, work, worship, attend school, or operate a business in Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, or Monroe County are eligible to join our Credit Union. Student needs one form of ID (State ID or DL) or a US Passport. The student must provide documentation from the School District (Schedule of Courses or Report Card) to confirm the student’s physical address.

*This program is designed for children who are 2 years and 11 months old or younger. Child’s Birth Certificate and Social Security Card required to open account. A parent or legal guardian must be added to the account as a per account. Account must be opened with $5 plus $1 membership fee. Parent or legal guardian may purchase an additional permit for $35.
